SYNOPSIS
In the midst of the brutal conflict of 1943, Jonnie, a disillusioned former British soldier, and Monique, a Jewish nurse in hiding, share a fragile peace in the remote countryside of Northern France. Their love is a rare sanctuary in a world ravaged by war, but the looming threats of discovery by German forces and Jonnie’s potential reactivation into British covert operations cast a constant shadow over their lives. When their fears converge in a devastating turn of events, Jonnie is torn away from Monique to embark on a perilous mission behind enemy lines. As the war tightens its grip, both must confront impossible odds—Jonnie, in a dangerous operation, and Monique, battling for survival. Their futures, and their love, hang in the balance. Will they be reunited, or will the war tear them apart forever?
